A payment from my client never made it to the sub-account. The bank ran a spot check, Twój Startup sent them the documents, but the money was still returned to the sender. Another payment in dollars has been stuck for more than two months, and the money is nowhere to be found.
I wanted to take payments through a payment system, but Twój Startup’s lawyers require a separate contract with every client, even though I work under a public offer agreement. And to connect a European payment provider, they told me to first pay for a consultation with a lawyer who would read its terms.
Opening a euro account at Twój Startup takes about three months right now, and you can’t work the whole time. Twój Startup reps in the chat don’t answer questions, they just post ads.
They told me opening the euro account would take a bit over two months, and it was open in three days. Thanks to them for that.
For three months my client paid less than the amount in the decision, and Twój Startup was fine with it. Now they’re suggesting I either terminate the contract retroactively or find the money. I didn’t expect that from a serious organization.
We spent almost two months trying to agree on a contract with a US client and got nowhere. Twój Startup insisted on its own template, also refused a three-party contract, and every round of checking edits took them at least five business days. In the end my client and I got tired of it and set everything up with another incubator in a couple of days.
I suspended my activity for three months, and in the fourth month they billed me for service. When I decided to end the cooperation, I had to pay for five months when I used neither the account nor the services. They point to their terms and conditions, so read them carefully.
They didn’t forget to fine me for a late invoice, but they did forget to make a proper Załącznik nr 1 for my contract and put IT duties in it, even though my profession is something else entirely. So double-check your Załącznik nr 1, or you might end up having to appeal.
I’ve had my Blue Card for over two years and I’m moving from regular employment to the incubator, but Twój Startup still insists on a work permit because, they say, that’s the rule for everyone with a Blue Card. That’s at least three months of waiting.
They keep charging me more than the standard rate because at some point Twój Startup applied for a work permit for me and made a long-term contract, even though I never asked for that.
For two months I haven’t been able to get a fresh certificate of no tax arrears for my residence card. The coordinator keeps sending the old one and can’t confirm a new one was even requested. The head office didn’t reply, and Twój Startup reps in the chat stayed silent too.
Twój Startup mistakenly didn’t pay the tax on my payouts on time, and it only came out in the PIT-11. Now they’re asking me to return all the money I withdrew so they can redo the transactions.
The terms at Twój Startup are decent, but anything involving the lawyers or invoice payments takes a very long time.
Turns out Twój Startup lets you add your wife on discounted terms, but my coordinator never mentioned it and kept pushing me to register a separate account. It’s a big incubator and the consultants themselves don’t know half the rules, so check your contracts.
Twój Startup has been getting a work permit for my husband for eight months now, and he had no work in that time, but they billed us for several months of service without any warning.
I’ve been with Twój Startup for four and a half years. With my first coordinator everything went fine for three years, but with the second one every month it’s either a mix-up, wrong information or a vague answer. Once the coordinator forgot to pay PIT on my umowa o dzieło, and I only noticed a month later.
My coordinator is out of the office at a training, the second one is out of the office too, and nobody picks up the phones listed on the website. Reaching Twój Startup is a problem, especially when it’s urgent and everyone’s away on vacation.
Their CRM has been down for a week, if not longer, and there’s no way to withdraw money.
Working with Twój Startup is close to unbearable.
If you need things sorted out quickly, Twój Startup is definitely not for you. I’ve had delays with payouts and even with getting the work itself set up.
With Twój Startup there’s always a surprise. After the pandemic it turned out you can’t withdraw your salary without a new permit, and they don’t bother warning people in advance. Good thing I managed to get my decision in time, or I’d have been left with no salary, unhappy and hungry.
I thought that once I’d applied for the residence card, I could keep working as before. Turns out I needed a new permit, and I had no idea. I found out from other people that you also have to keep track of this and figure it out yourself.
Trying to get a contract with my client approved turned into endless back-and-forth. I found another business incubator where they set it all up without the runaround.
Whether it’s setting up an account or a contract, you wait anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, and for them that’s normal. Don’t expect quick answers here.
Only go to Twój Startup if you’re ready to put up with a pile of unanswered questions, they’re slow to reply. Some people do get lucky with their coordinator, so it’s a lottery.
It’s the third month Twój Startup’s lawyers can’t approve the contract, and I haven’t had a salary for three months. The client is on edge, and I’m just waiting for them to back out altogether.
Even after my coordinator changed, the problems didn’t go anywhere. They try to help, but nothing changes, it’s as slow as it ever was.
Twój Startup has a high turnover of coordinators, a new person every month, and nobody wants to dig into my case. It’s impossible to work like this.
Twój Startup is known for being slow. I found a workaround and agreed to work without a contract, otherwise it would have been completely impossible.
Unfortunately, not all coordinators really know what they’re talking about. A couple of times they gave me wrong information, which later turned into problems.
There’s some truth to the joke about Twój Startup’s blocked chakras. Sometimes it feels like talking to a wall.
Oddly, the main way to get things working properly here is to argue with your coordinator or switch to another one. They often mislead you, saying one thing while something else happens in reality. It feels like their policy is “whatever happens, happens.”
We signed the contract starting August 1, but I had to back out right away because of illness. There was never any onboarding, CRM access or sub-account, and I still had to pay.
When I terminated, they charged me for an extra month because of inconsistencies in their own termination form.
Hidden costs show up when you try to end the cooperation.
Almost three years after we stopped working together, the foundation demanded a debt for three days. They sent no proof but threatened to take me to court.
Twój Startup’s lawyers aren’t ready for contracts with foreign clients. The wording is vague, and they can’t even put together a simple two-party contract.
Things drag on for weeks, there are problems with accounting, and the membership fee keeps going up.
After I signed the contract, they stopped answering calls.
We had a dispute with a counterparty and waited two weeks for a reply from Twój Startup’s administration. They said requests are handled in order.
I only found out about the deductions from each invoice after the first invoice. Every month you have to send a pile of documents. My own JDG with small ZUS would have worked out cheaper.
Counterparties regularly don’t get the invoices, and according to them it’s always the system’s fault.
We worked with Twój Startup for a couple of years and eventually left. They’re slow to respond, and the fee keeps going up.
Twój Startup was handling my work permit, which never came through. Then they claimed I’d been working illegally and demanded I pay back a large sum.
At a meeting in the Kraków office, the staff member kept interrupting. Very unprofessional.
I used Twój Startup for over a year, everything works and it’s all legal. The contract helped me get a residence card.
I’ve been a client since 2020, and my coordinator replies quickly.
